First Certification Body For CHINAGAP
WIT-Assessment  is  the  first  Chinese  certification  body,  that  has  successfully  completed  the  GLOBALG.A.P  approval  procedure  for  certification  bodies.  The  company  can  now  issue  certificates  for  the  ChinaGAP  standard.  ChinaGAP  has  two  levels,  first  an  entry  level  to  encourage  early  adoption  of  Good  Agricultural  Practices,  and  secondly  a  higher  level  where  producers  can  receive  the  GLOBALG.A.P  equivalence  mark,  which  brings  international  recognition  to  China’s  farm  products.  Many  Chinese  producers  are  currently  preparing  for  their  certification  in  2010.  Mr  Qiao  Dong  from  China  Certification  and  Accreditation  Institute,  the  ChinaGAP  Secretariat,  will  update  the  press  conference  on  the  future  plans  for  ChinaGAP.
