China GAP Certification Status
China now has more export of agricultural products processing enterprises which have received EUREPGAP certification. For the need of export, enterprises need more choices of the EUREPGAP certification. With each other acceptance of CHINAGAP and EUREPGAP certification and the conduct of the work, there will be more domestic enterprises as long as receiving CHINAGAP certification that can enter the international market (or through an assessment, issuing two certificates that is: CHINAGAP and EUREPGAP certificate ). At the same time, foreign agricultural products processing enterprises entering into Chinese market will also require to get the certification of CHINAGAP.
GAP four main concerns:
1、 Food Safety:
The standards based on food safety standards, originating from application of basic principle of HACCP.
2、Environmental Protection
The standard of good agricultural practices includes environmental protection in order to minimize the negative impact of the design which agricultural production brings to the environment.
3、Occupational Health, Safety and Welfare:
The standard is intended to establish international standards of occupational health and safety standards within the agriculture, as well as the aspects related to social responsibility and awareness, but it can not replace the social responsibility of the organization to further examination.
4、 Animal Welfare (when appropriate):
The standard is intended to establish international standards of animal welfare standards in the scope of agriculture and animal husbandry. The four basic requirements are safety, quality, environmental protection, social responsibility and so on.
