ASEAN cooperation in the agricultural food safety
ASEAN  secretariat  on  February  11  issued  the  "ASEAN  cooperation  in  the  agricultural  food  safety."  In  order  to  protect  high-quality,  healthy  and  safe  food  in  the  region  to  flow  more  freely,  and  the  ASEAN  countries  of  agricultural  food  production  to  meet  international  standards  and  enhance  our  competitiveness,  ASEAN  countries  in  the  economic  integration  under  the  framework  strengthen  the  cooperation  of  agricultural  aspects  of  food  safety,  including: 

        1.2006  promulgated  the  "ASEAN  fruit  and  vegetable  cultivation,  harvesting,  processing  standards" 
        2.  Develop  775  involving  61  kinds  of  pesticide  residue  standards 
        3.49  animal  vaccines  standards 
        4.13  livestock  certification  standards 
        5.3  animal  products  certification  standard 

        Moreover,  in  order  to  cope  with  livestock  infected  and  with  avian  flu  which  more  people  had  frequently  infected  in  recent  years.  In  addition  to  strengthening  ASEAN's  own  food  safety  control,  ASEAN  also  strengthen  cooperation  with  the  Asian  Development  Bank,  the  FAO  and  other  international  organizations.
