This year, green food in Heilongjiang Province will expand the acreage to 5,000 hectares, an increase of 6.8 percent over last year, complete the total production of 23 million tons, an increase of 9% over the previous year; and achieve GDP 63.5 billion yuan, an increase of 10% over the previous year .
2007 green food industry in Heilongjiang Province in the development speed and economic efficiency achieved simultaneously improvement, various indicators increased considerably, and the development of green food acreage expanded to 4,680 hectares, an increase of 12.8 percent over last year; green food production volume reached 21.208 million tons , an increase of 15.5 percent over last year; and achieved GDP 58.14 billion yuan, an increase of 22.2 percent over last year. Production of major agricultural products has sound cultivation, and become the first province to complete planting sound production. This is indicated by Xue-Hua Bai ,the deputy director of the agricultural committee of Heilongjiang Province, in a recent food report on the work conference.
Xue-Hua Bai stressed in his speech: the development of green food industry, should explore a successful road which must support resources, optimize resources, and rationally develop and use resources, and promote sustainable development of agriculture and construction of a modern agricultural sector. Heilongjiang Province green food accounting for the proportion of the rural economy, has been increased to 17.5% since it was 5.4 percent in 1999. Building new rural areas, "Rural Chimura 100" experimental units, more than 80 percent of production to achieve the objective of the development laid on green food industry development. Green Food Industry Development will also continue pouring into the new building rural vitality and vigor.
Xue-Hua Bai also said that, over the years, because of the development of green food in Heilongjiang Province from input standard, production techniques standard and the processing standards, adhere to the whole standardization so as to effectively enhance the province's agricultural production level of standardization to ensure the quality of agricultural products security, and the fundamental guarantee of national food security.
Heilongjiang provincial party committee and government always attaches great importance to the development of green food industry which has promulgated a series of new policies and new measures to promote green food industry to development fastly. September 2007, "the CPC Heilongjiang Provincial Party Committee on the in-depth implementation of the scientific concept of development, speed up the process of industrialization in the new decision" put forward " establish products identification systems and products traceability system and make the brands of 'Great Northern Wilderness',' cold and black, '' North singular god 'and build the country's largest green, organic food production processing bases and an important export base. "
It is understood that the development of green food in Heilongjiang Province main producing areas of environmental indicators of soil and river water quality are better than surrounding areas. Green food production areas of farmland include soil organic matter content from 2.8% to 3.5%, green food park reaching 5%. I rrigation water using the ammonia and nitrite content don’t show that the atmospheric environment reach to the national first level and provide favorable conditions for the foundation for the development of Heilongjiang Province Green food industry.
